Apart from unveiling the JioPhone Following at its 44th AGM, Trust Jio announced that it has entered a partnership with Google Cloud. Nether this partnership, Google Cloud will power Jio's 5G solutions and the inward necessarily of major Reliance businesses, including JioMart, JioSaavn, and others.

For the inexperienced, Google picked up a 7.7 percent stake in Jio Platforms earlier last year. Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani, during the AGM, reiterated that Jio 5G has achieved over 1Gbps download speeds with the use of indigenously-formulated computer hardware. Thanks to the recent regulatory approvals and 5G spectrum trials, Ambani claimed that he's assured in Jio being the first to straighten 5G net services in India.

Besides, both Jio and Google will also join forces to make on tap "a portfolio of 5G edge calculation solutions" to industry partners. The telco will equal able to leveraging Google's AI/ ML capabilities and other cloud solutions to scale its business as per client's needs.
